Carrie Dunn is a leading voice in women’s football, blending 20 years of sports journalism with forensic academic insight as a PhD in sports sociology. A best-selling author and expert on the long-hidden history of the women’s game, Carrie tells the stories that shape both its past and its future.

Her acclaimed books include Unsuitable for Females: The Rise of the Lionesses and Women’s Football in England (shortlisted for 2023 Football Book of the Year) and Woman Up: Pitches, Pay and Periods – The Progress and Potential of Women's Football (nominated for the 2024 Vikki Orvice Award).

Carrie advises non-profits and corporations on all aspects of women’s sport, while also volunteering locally, co-leading girls’ and women’s participation projects at her grassroots club. She lives in the Eryri National Park with her husband and their rescue lurcher, Spring.
